We’re proud to have an exclusive-to-us collection of beautifully curated gowns in our boutique in Inverurie that are unique to us and unique to you. We are also the only North East of Scotland stockists for a number of designers.
5. Wedding dress customisation options
Customisation really is the key to making a dress truly individual to you. We love helping you select your perfect gown and to help complete your look with different customisations or accessory additions.
We love the versatility on offer with our wedding gowns in store. With so much choice available you can really make a dress your own with additions like:
- adding or removing a sleeve (cap, ¾ or full sleeve)
- changing a neckline (e.g. modifying a plunge)
- raising or lowering back lines
- lining the front or back of the dress
- changing the dress shape
- adding or removing sparkle
- changing the fabric type
or you can choose to be a little more dramatic by changing with colour of the dress.
Customisation normally takes place at the point of ordering and the dress is made specifically for you. We can discuss the modifications you want on your dress and make those notes when we place the order.
But don’t worry if you decide to change a particular element of your dress after it’s been ordered. We work alongside a team of very talented seamstresses who can often work their magic to help create a modified look.

We’ll dedicate time when you’re ordering your dress, or when you’re collecting it from our boutique, to ensure you have the accessories to polish off your look.
We’ve got veils and tiaras as well as belts, straps, sleeves, capes, feathered boleros, jackets, overskirts and other hair accessories to complement your chosen gown.
Why not try a beaded headband? These are the ideal contemporary alternative if you’re not into veils and wedding tiaras but still want a headpiece to complete your look. Our collection of headpieces in our boutique are bespoke so you can choose the colour of the pearls to coordinate with your dress.

We don’t let our brides leave our boutique with their dress without offering some of our tried and tested TLC tips to look after a wedding dress before the special day.
But caring for your dress post-wedding is as important as before your special day. After all, you spent time choosing and being fitted for your gown and it’s likely to be the most expensive dress you will probably ever own. Midnight Elegance provide beautiful premium quality handmade presentation boxes. These special UK made pH neutral boxes protect your gown from light, whilst allowing the fabrics to breathe. Your wedding dress will be carefully folded into layers of acid-free tissue paper.
